This audax proves that even in congested Essex there are lots of quiet lanes. The route uses High Easter as a start, mid-way and finish point. The first loop heads south-west to Waltham Abbey, then up north through Lee Valley. The return to the HQ takes you past Stansted (just north of Stansted Airport).
For the second loop it's east to Boreham and then south (almost to the River Crouch) before heading north to Kelvedon. You then finish off by going west, to the south of Braintree.
